This Privacy Policy explains how LightNote AI (“LightNote”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our proposal generation, audit, and improvement service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and (if you provide it) company name and role. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.
  • Content you create: the proposals, templates, client details, and uploaded documents you add to the Service.
  • Usage data: feature usage and credit activity used to operate and improve the Service.
  • Shared-proposal analytics: when you enable a public share link, we record the number of views and the time each link is opened, so we can show you engagement on your own proposals.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, generate and audit proposals, process credits, respond to support requests, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

Proposal content you submit for generation, audit, or rewriting is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) solely to produce your results. We do not use your proposal content to train our own models. Uploaded files are processed to extract text and are not shared beyond what is needed to deliver the feature you requested.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run the Service, including Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), Google (AI processing), and Exa (web research). Each processes data only to provide their part of the Service.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account Actions. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
