Configuration & Settings

Learn how to configure your LightNote AI workspace, establish your brand identity, manage team member permissions, and connect external infrastructure integrations.

1. Workspace & Profile Settings

Manage your personal and organizational profile from Settings. These values populate your default proposal headers and contact blocks:

Company Name & Legal Entity
Appears as the issuing party across all contracts, NDAs, and PDF invoices.
Author / Prepared By
Default signatory on proposal cover letters and executive presentations.
Default Currency & Timezone
Formats pricing tables (USD $, EUR €, GBP £) and milestone delivery deadlines.
Primary Email & Notification Routing
Destination for client proposal view alerts and credit receipt notifications.

2. Brand Customization

Match your proposal aesthetic to your corporate brand guidelines:

High-Resolution Logo UploadSupports PNG, SVG, or WebP formats (max 5MB). Stored as an asset in Supabase Storage and rendered in hero headers and PDF export pages.
Primary & Accent ColorsSet your primary hex color (e.g. #0f0f0f or #2563eb) to automatically tint buttons, badges, table headers, and pricing highlights.
Typography PairingChoose between modern system typography (SF Pro / Inter), editorial serif (Merriweather), or technical sans (Geist) for exported documents.

3. Core Integrations & Keys

LightNote AI connects to industry-standard infrastructure:

Supabase (PostgreSQL & SSR Auth)
Provides multi-tenant Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring each user can only read and mutate their own proposals and client data.
Google Gemini AI (Multi-Key Rotation)
Uses gemini-3-flash-preview with up to 5 automatic failover keys to guarantee 99.9% uptime during rate spikes.
CloudConvert PDF Engine
Powers our /api/export/pdf pipeline, transforming SuperDoc HTML into pixel-perfect vectors with print bleed margins.

4. Local vs Cloud Storage Mechanics

LightNote AI features an offline-first drafting engine. Proposals created without an active database session are assigned IDs with the local- prefix and cached in browser localStorage with autosave snapshots every 30 seconds.

When ready, click "Save to Cloud" to migrate the document into your Supabase PostgreSQL cluster with full revision history.
