AI Generation Delays & Rate Limits (429)

If an AI generation or audit takes longer than 30 seconds or displays a rate-limit notice:

Multi-Key Failover: LightNote AI is configured with multi-key rotation. When a key experiences a Google Gemini 429 quota ceiling, the system automatically cools down that key for 60 seconds and routes your request to an active secondary key.

Shorten Huge Raw Inputs: Pasting more than 15,000 words into the problem description can exceed model context limits. Condense the core problem into 3-5 focused paragraphs for the fastest generation times.

HTTP Error Code Reference

If an API call returns an HTTP error, refer to the following status code meanings:

Status	Meaning	Resolution
401 Unauthorized	Supabase session expired or invalid auth token	Log out and log back in at /login to refresh your session.
403 Forbidden	Insufficient credit balance or subscription limit reached	Check your credit balance in Billing or wait for public beta reset.
410 Gone	Legacy payment checkout endpoint requested	The Lemon Squeezy integration was deprecated; use the active PayPal billing flow.
429 Too Many Requests	Temporary AI model quota ceiling	Wait 15-30 seconds; automatic multi-key rotation will resolve the call.
500 Server Error	Internal AI generation or JSON parsing failure	Retry the generation with slightly cleaner input text or report to support.

Recovering Offline Drafts from Autosave

If your browser crashed or your internet disconnected during an editing session:

1. Open the LightNote AI proposal editor on the same browser device.

2. The useAutosave engine automatically tracks version snapshots every 30 seconds.

3. Click the "Version History" clock icon in the top right editor toolbar to inspect previous snapshots and restore your proposal to any point in time.

Voice Input Microphone Permissions

The AI Proposal Studio supports speech-to-text dictation via the browser Web Speech API. If clicking the microphone icon does not capture audio:

• Ensure you are using a supported browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).

• Check that microphone permission is set to "Allow" in your browser address bar permissions badge.

• Secure Context: Dictation requires an HTTPS connection (or http://localhost during local development).
